This policy explains what information Hello Sugar collects through our hiring site at hs-hiring.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to people who apply for a job with us or communicate with our hiring team.
Information we collect
When you apply, we collect the information you provide, which may include:
- Your name, email address, and (if you provide it) mobile phone number.
- The location or market you're applying for and the role you want.
- Documents you upload — your resume and esthetician or cosmetology license, and, only if you are hired, proof of insurance and work- eligibility (I-9) identification.
- Your responses during the process — a personality assessment result, recorded video interview answers, your shift availability, and messages you send us.
How we use your information
We use your information only to run our hiring process:
- To review your application and decide whether to move you forward.
- To communicate with you about your application by email and, if you opted in, by text message — including status updates, interview reminders, and replies to your questions.
- To prepare and send an offer if you are selected.
Text messaging and your mobile number
If you check the consent box on our application, we will send you text messages about your application. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of applying or of employment.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number for any such purpose, and mobile information is used only to deliver the messages you asked for.
Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies based on where you are in the hiring process. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your application.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. To operate the hiring site we rely on a few service providers that process information strictly on our behalf and under contract — our database and file-storage host, our email provider, and our text-messaging provider — solely to deliver the service. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes, and they are not third parties who receive your data for marketing. As stated above, text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties or affiliates. We may disclose information only if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your application information for as long as needed to evaluate your candidacy and consider you for future openings, and as required by law. You may ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and you can withdraw text-message consent at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us.
